If this is you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Admin Clerk position to join the Regimental Administration Office (RAO's) We are offering this position at 37 hours per week, requests to work flexibly will be considered, considering the business needs.

This role sits within the RAO's Dept at the Army Training Centre Pirbright ATC(P), a large and busy Phase 1 Training Establishment.

The Admin Clerk role is placed within an organisation and team which plays a pivotal role in making the Army an excellent place to work.

The Admin Clerk will be responsible for all administration, documentation, pay and allowances for permanent staff within the establishment.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


  • Complete a detailed arrivals process with all new permanent staff who are posted into 3 Regt ATC (P) or one of the satellite units.
  • Initiate all Single Living Accommodation costs and check married quarter charges have been applied by the relevant agency and highlight any discrepancies.
  • Check on a regular basis, according to policies, that all accurate entitlements are being claimed and supporting documentation is kept on file, up to date and renewed annually seek individuals to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete 100% pay checks and observations on pay statements, addressing any issues.
  • Prepare all documentation for dispatch upon a service persons departure from ATC (P) and forward onto their new unit, ensuring allowances have been stopped.
  • Process Fuel and Light vouchers and any debit vouchers for staff within the Regiment.
  • Advise military personnel with the use of Joint Personnel Administration(JPA) system by assisting with entering claims and all self
- service entitlements.

  • Offer advice to permanent staff on all pay related issues and allowances including Forces Help to Buy (FHTB).
  • Act as the main point of contact for all permanent staff within 3 Regt and the lodger units for all allowances and entitlements and ad hoc queries
  • Move and Track personnel who are away from the establishment in excess of 24 hours and ensure all supporting documentation to instigate their allowances is present.
  • Utilise the MyAdmin app for Permanent Staff administration
  • Work alongside the Sys Coord to resolve any issues on the monthly management checks to ensure that all discrepancies are rectified within the month.
  • Provide cover within the RAO department in periods of absence. This includes leave and movements, recruit pay etc
  • Update JPA with any new certificates of qualifications and ensure the relevant spread sheet reflects the changes.
  • Maintain various registers for personnel including monitoring SUPA and SSSA.
  • Update the Mandatory Training spreadsheet for all Military and Civilian staff, ensuring training is conducted and certificates are received.
