:Located in the heart of Bristol's Old City, the hotel is right by the waterside, within easy walking distance of the prime cultural, business and shopping districts.

This boutique style hotel includes 116 uniquely designed guest rooms. Not to be missed, is Buttermilk and Maple which offers relaxed, dining alongside aromatic coffee, craft beers and eclectic cocktails

There are also four versatile and modern function rooms each boasting panoramic, unobstructed views of the river. These can accommodate up to 85 delegates for meetings and 100 for receptions and social gatherings. Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel is also licensed to hold Civil Marriage and Partnership Ceremonies and help from the hotel's dedicated Wedding Planner is available


We are currently looking for an enthusiastic team member, on a part time basis, to act as a Guest Service Assistant in the housekeeping department.

As a Guest Service Assistant, you'll deliver a friendly and efficient service; to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests and ensure they have a great experience.

You'll be attentive to our guests needs from the moment they arrive, make recommendations and serve accurately and efficiently.

You will be totally guest focused, ensuring we are creating memorable stays for all our guests, consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.

Role in our Family:


This role of Guest Service Assistant will focus primarily in the housekeeping department, but will need to support other departments, such as reception, depending on business needs.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • To ensure all rooms are turned around in an efficient manner
  • All rooms must be cleaned, sanitised and prepared in accordance to SHG and guidelines.
  • Support the line manager in ordering and maintaining linen stock.
  • To maintain the reception, public areas, stores, back office and staff areas in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Deal with any guest queries/complaints in a polite and friendly manner ensuring guest satisfaction
  • All complaints, comments, special requests and other business to be recorded in the daily handover log.
  • To operate the hotel reception (24hr) to the agreed hotel standards
  • To clearly communicate with other departments to ensure mínimal impact on guest service.
  • To be proactive in generating sales and referring sales leads as well as upselling products and services where possible.
  • To comply with the company policies.
