Hours: 42.75 hours per week M-F, plus OT available


Salary:
Above minimum wage

The opportunity:


Due to significant company growth and investment, we are now looking to recruit Vehicle Dismantlers for our very busy Recycling Centre facility based in Preston, Lancashire.

With an interest in cars and a wish to work with a great team offering training and development, this role represents an exciting opportunity to join our End of Live Vehicle Dismantling team at a time of significant growth.


What you'll be doing:


  • Removing engines from accident damaged and recovered vehicles safely and to ensure that they are suitable for resale to the trade and public
  • Carrying out quality control checks prior to and after removing parts to ensure fit for purpose
  • Compliance with manual handling guidelines
  • Achieving agreed dismantling targets for removal of engines
  • Ensuring machinery and equipment is safe and maintained in working order preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety policy and rules
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy

Who you are:


  • Previous experience in vehicle mechanics nice to have
  • Confident in dealing with a wide variety of car makes and models
  • Enjoys working outdoors in a busy environment
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Health and Safety conscious
  • Previous experience forklift driving is considered an advantage
