Highways Senior Engineer
Initial 6-month contract
£28-£35 an hour, umbrella
Brent

Overall, Purpose of Job:

  • You will be expected to carry out the duties of a Senior Engineer in the Traffic Management section, including developing, programming, and implementing a wide range of Highways, Traffic and/or Parking Management schemes.
  • To take personal responsibility for the planning and delivery of schemes and adopt a supervisory role over Technicians and Engineers who are assisting them.
  • You will be part of the Transportation Service, which is responsible for all transportationrelated issues around the borough, including regeneration projects, traffic management, parking, as well as implementing the Council's capital programme and LocalImprovement Plan (LIP).

Experience & Qualifications:

  • HNC, H/TEC, degree or equivalent in a technical or transportationrelated discipline.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a Traffic and/or Parking environment.
  • Ability to carry out site visits across the borough as necessary.
