CNC Machinist

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting experienced CNC Machinists to join our well-established Chesterfield based client.

Job Duties:

Careful methods of working to relevant quality procedures within production facility maintaining awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
Ensure all operational procedures are adhered to and that all components are produced in line with the QMS (Quality Management System).
Set and operate specific machines to produce components from British Standard drawings.
First off inspection of components machined by other operators (If inspector is unavailable).
Check produced components using appropriate measuring & gauging equipment.
Modify & edit existing CNC programs in line with QMS requirements.
Strive for 100% On-TimeIn-Full delivery performance.
Work with Technical Engineers to improve machining methods, shortening cycle times and fully utilising machinery and tooling capabilities.
Raise any nonconformance issues on any item as soon as they are identified using the company procedures.
Adhere to time keeping and attendance procedures.
Ensure shop floor data collection bookings are always correct.
Endorse the shop floor area housekeeping, promoting the importance of a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in accordance with 5S practices.
Safe use of material handling and the distribution of equipment.
Carry out any planned preventative maintenance as specified.
Any other duties as requested by Management.

Preferred Experience:

Sound Engineering background.
Good CNC Mazak, Fanuc, or Okuma experience.
Worked within ISO 9001 quality management system.
Able to read and understand technical documentation and engineering drawings.

Working hours:
Rotating Days & Nights Monday to Thursday.

Days: 7am - 5pm or 6am - 4pm.

Nights: 6pm - 4am or 8pm - 6am.

Salary:
£ £17.00 per hour + regular overtime available along with Night shift allowance.

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
