Position Overview:

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team.

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing practical assistance and emotional support to individuals who may be elderly, disabled, or vulnerable.

Your primary responsibility will be to empower our clients to live fulfilling lives by promoting independence and autonomy.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
  • Provide practical support with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and social activities, promoting community engagement and inclusion.
  • Administer medication and assist with healthcare needs under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Offer emotional support, companionship, and a listening ear to clients, fostering positive relationships and trust.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client care and progress.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of our clients.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent


Salary:
£11.00-£14.85 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 20 per week

Experience:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)

- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Manchester, Greater Manchester (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Manchester,

Greater Manchester:
Relocate before starting work (required)


Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (preferred)
