Description
Our client, a global technology organisation, urgently require an experienced Capacity Manager to undertake a long term contract.

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

  • Experienced within IT Capacity Management
  • SC Cleared

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor and analyse capacity needs via capacity reporting & tooling
  • Ensuring that services and infrastructure are able to deliver the agreed service level targets for capacity and performance in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Managing the repository/access of all Capacity Management data
  • Forecast the capacity of operational services, including initiating proactive and reactive action to ensure that the performances and capabilities of services meet their agreed targets
  • Oversight and responsibility for the Capacity plan covering scenarios for different predictions of business demand to deliver the agreed service target levels
  • Identify future business requirements that will affect capacity/availability requirements and ensure there is a match between the capacity of IT and the agreed business demands
  • Track IT resource usage and promptly identify capacity issues; provide capacity trending information to allow for forecasting future capacity requirements
  • Assess Incidents/Problems and make appropriate capacity IT changes to improve performance
  • Ensure that all changes are assessed for their impact on capacity and performance and attending CAB meetings when appropriate
  • Develop and propose scenarios for addressing capacity constraints and define associated costs, risks, and benefits of each
  • Ensure high quality reports are produced and manages associated actions
