Support Worker

Alexandra House, Exmouth

37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

£21,840 Per Annum

Target Start Date: 1 month after Interview (notice period dependent)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker with a passion to work within a supported housing setting for vulnerable adults, with a low to medium level of support need.

You will provide high quality, one to one and group support to empower our residentswith access to the best opportunities in life.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9-5 and will not include any personal care responsibilities.


Duties include:
- assisting customers to develop individual support plans, by identifying strengths, goals and assessing barriers to reaching the overall goal of independence.
- advising on tenancy issues, welfare benefits, financial and budgeting matters.
- working closely with relevant statutory and third sector organisations, making sure customers are referred to appropriate agencies.
- contributing to the development of personalised services to enable customers to choose and shape services to meet their individual needs and aspirations rather than fit into existing services.
- taking a proactive approach to the prevention of anti-social behaviour, including effective partnership working.
- ensuring that all online systems are updated and forms completed in accordance with policies, procedures and to meet the requirements of regulators.
- promoting equality, diversity, accessibility and inclusion. Challenging discrimination and stigma and work to the social model of disability.
