This position has a starting salary of £27,897 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.
The role is offered as a 10-month fixed term contact or secondment opportunity.


We are excited to be hiring a new
Senior Team Administrator to join our fantastic Multi-Agency Partnership Business Support team.

The team is based in Woking; however the role is offered on a hybrid basis with the expectation that you will be in the office at least two or three days a week.


Please note, the contractual location for this role is currently Quadrant Court, however it is our intention to move within the local area to Victoria Gate in Central Woking later this year.

About the team

The Children, Families and Learning directorate within Surrey County Council provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people.

Services are delivered directly to children and their families within extensive statutory frameworks and staff working in these areas need specialist knowledge in order to deliver effective services to these high risk and high need groups.

Our Multi-Agency Partnership Business Support team supports Social Care and Education staff.


About the role

As a Senior Team Administrator, you will be part of a team that is at the centre of children's services in Surrey, driving change and innovation with a relentless focus on improving outcomes for children and their families.

This is a really varied role, but on a day-to-day basis you will be involved in the following:

  • Supporting junior staff and allocating work where required
  • Answering queries and maintaining databases and spreadsheets
  • Helping to maintain social care team rotas & staff planner
  • Supporting with social care team inductions
  • Providing direct support to the Service Manager
  • Creating and sending outcome letters to families and referrers
  • Organising and minute taking multiagency meetings

Shortlisting criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position your CV and answers to the questions below will clearly evidence:

  • A solid background in administration with experience of working in an office environment
  • Experience of managing workflow and/or leading more junior staff with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills with a high level of written and verbal communication ability
  • That you are confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working with highly confidential information
