Catering Assistant Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Assistant to join our team here at Telford Court Care Home, Crewe, Cheshire CW1 3AW.

Job Summary
To assist in the daily preparation and serving of food to service users and cleaning up operations.
To have a basic understanding of the dietary requirements of all service users.
To have a basic understanding of Mental Health needs of service users.
To be physically fit for the post.

Responsibilities of the Post
To take personal responsibility in becoming fully aware and observant of all Company Policies and Procedures and their implementation.
To ensure that all Food Hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to.
To have knowledge of and adhere to the stated cleaning methods observing COSHH regulations.
To observe the correct use and care of equipment reporting promptly any defects in machinery or materials.

To take a personal responsibility in becoming fully aware and observant of the companies Health & Safety Policy, reporting accidents and hazards.

To carry out tasks delegated by the Catering Manager.
To participate in staff meetings as requested and attend all relevant training sessions.
To provide assistance to other staff as directed by the Nurse in Charge or Home Manager.
To assist in ensuring the security of all service users and the premise through the observance of security procedures.

As a Catering Assistant you are the face of Inspired Life Care Limited and therefore should be suitably uniformed at all times.

Applicants must be over 18.
