JOB DESCRIPTION


To carry out assembly and manufacturing operations in accordance with engineering drawings and written work instructions to produce precision and complex products as directed.


Main duties & responsibilities:

1. The manufacture and assembly of precision and complex products as directed.


2. Set up and use of manufacturing tools, machinery and equipment.


3. Work in a manner that is conducive to health and safety.


4. Must be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.


5. Any other designated duties


Experience:


  • Experience in the assembly of defence or similar products and equipment.

Skills & Abilities:


  • Effective communicator
  • Able to understand exploded electromechanical drawings and adhere to written work instructions and route cards
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand tools
  • Must be able to maintain a very high level of assembly quality
  • Must be able to maintain a clean workstation at all times as cleanliness is critical to the product

Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of, or exposure to, IPC certification standards.
  • Knowledge of, or exposure to LEAN manufacturing techniques.
