Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with experience in ENT; head and neck and voice, to work with the team based at Royal Derby Hospital, as part of the Derbyshire Community Health Services Service Level Agreement.

We are looking for an HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist with developed skills working with adults.


As a clinical employee it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.


You will be proficient in your abilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice, with assessment and therapeutic abilities, including dysphagia and voice management in this specialist area.

You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of patient-focused care and be a strong team player.


Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.


We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.


During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

Provides a clinical service to adults with communication/eating/drinking and swallowing difficulties in a variety of settings, including stroke, general acute and rehab areas.

In addition, the post holder is required to have a specialist interest agreed with the line manager.

This post will specifically work with neuro outpatients 3 days a week and acute inpatients 2 days a week.
