About the role
We've a number of opportunities to become our new Assistant Finance Business Partners who will work closely with the business areas to create a real and active partnership with the operations and management.
You'll provide 'real time' high quality support, analysis, and challenge, along with being a trusted advisor that is seen to 'add value' that will assist in their decision making.
We're looking for you to build professional and effective business partnering relationships across the business, along with owning stakeholder relationships and being the first point of contact for analysis and support.
You'll provide insightful financial information to enable decision making, identification of new opportunities to unlock value and monitor emerging risks with mitigating actions.
You'll be undertaking financial performance reviews, maintaining an ongoing forecast and lead month end management accounting processes to identify and track risks and opportunities, and updating any changes.
We're looking for you to empower your business colleagues to manage the day-to-day financial decisions in their areas though support, education, and engagement.
You'll lead the annual budget process for designated areas, working with budget holders to ensure that their budget submissions reflect their strategic plans, and that the information submitted is on time, accurate, and consistent.
You'll provide analysis and interpret financial information to identify and highlight key financial opportunities and risks, and where there are areas of concern, propose actions to resolve or mitigate and appropriately escalate.
We're looking for you to support the business in the preparation of business cases ensuring all costs are captured and value of the change is understood, along with monitoring and reporting performance of changes and undertake post implementation reviews.
About you
We're looking for you to have proven experience of working in management accounts in a fast paced, complex financial organisation delivering on time accurate results and analysis, along with proven experience in the preparation of business cases and management accounts.
You'll have proven experience of achieving deadlines by working in partnership with others, so experience of senior stakeholder engagement and change management is a must in this role.
We're looking for you to have proven skills to operate confidently in a financial environment, analysing and interpreting financial information to resolve problems, deliver outputs and communicate information for decision-making.
You'll be able to provide insightful customer focused reporting and using finance and non-finance information, along with proven experience in presenting and translating finance data to non-financial managers and excellent communication, data interpretation and engagement.
