Description
We are looking for Catering Assistant to join our team.


Duties and key result areas:


  • Serve all customers in a polite & friendly manner. Maintain high standards of personal presentation
  • Fulfil your Duty of Care, by ensuring adhesion to all appropriate environmental health, food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Prepare, cook and present food to the highest standards. This includes buffets and meals for special events and functions.
  • Ensure the cleaning of all areas and associated record keeping.
  • Follow cashing up and till reconciliation procedures, if required.
  • Follow appropriate stock ordering system and handle all deliveries in accordance with procedure. Adhere to stock rotation directives.
  • Ensure fridge, freezer and food temperatures are taken and logged appropriately.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties to meet the requirements of the Job Purpose.
  • Work at other sites as necessary.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

Understanding of food hygiene.

Knowledge of Health & Safety issues and COSHH regulations.

Basic food hygiene certificate.


Experience:

General cooking and food preparation.


Skills and competencies:

Excellent customer service skills

Good teamwork and communication


Job Type:
Temporary contract


Salary:
£10.79 per hour
