Looking for a new role where you can make a difference every day? We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Night Support Worker to join our Mental Health Service in Hammersmith and Fulham.

£23,026.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week, plus Annual Leave, Pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

Shift patterns:
Monday through to Thursday 9.45pm-7.45am.


Essential:


  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or experience within charity/social care sector.
  • Challenging situations
  • Antisocial behaviour.
  • Understanding and empathy with client group. Drug users and Alcoholics.

Desirable:


  • Degree

We're looking for a Night Support Worker to join our Mental Health Service.


Hammersmith and Fulham Mental Health comprises of four projects supporting adults living in the community with mental health needs: Lakeside Road, Irving Road, Kwaanza House and Lena Gardens.

The first two offer high levels of support, with the others offering medium levels.


This 'step down' pathway allows customers to move on to a more appropriate level of supported accommodation as their needs change.

Projects are located within walking distance of each other, and the team works across all four.

Our Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Service is an award-winning service for 'Quality and Innovation'. We place a special emphasis on the Strength-based Recovery Model to enable our resident to achieve their full potential.

Our customers are both male and female and many have complex needs including dual diagnosis and Support Workers are expected to liaise with other agencies within the borough in order to best support customers.


  • Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers, and creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
  • Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals.
  • Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'.
  • Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.

Job Overview:


We're looking for a Night Support Worker within Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Service support customers to help them to develop life skills and increase independence.

A wide range of co-produced activities take place across the service, designed to empower, and improve the daily living skills of customers.

Many of the customers have complex needs including dual diagnosis. A Night Support Worker is expected to liaise with other agencies within the borough to best support customer.


You'll be required to support customers to manage their tenancies, budget to prevent rent arrears, develop their support plans and risk assessment.

Carry out weekly health and safety checks, Carry out security duties and enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g.

accompanying the customer.
