An expanding organisation currently taking it's breakthrough solution in to volume production, currently looking to add to it's high performing team culture with a Quality Technician comfortable in a role undertaking both Supplier and Plant based Qualityactivities.
This Product Quality Technician will be responsible for supporting the Product Quality Engineer from "cradle to grave" on:
NPI activities with the suppliers and internal departments
Launch
Ongoing support maintaining and developing company and supplier performance by correlating and presenting supplier, internal, customer and warranty data
Identifying and supporting VA/VE activities to maintain and improve the company positioning in the external marketplace
NPI Supplier facing activities will include:
- The promotion and maintenance of safe work practices at all times
- Supporting project meetings with colleagues and suppliers
- Participating in crossfunctional teams in the development of new products
- To conduct incoming inspection in accordance with inspection plans and engineering documentation
- To initiate NCIORS, communicating with suppliers to return/replace stock
- The coordination of supplier on site stock sorts
- Completing all stock control activities to ensure cost recovery
- Coordinating supplier performance, problem solving, cost recovery
- Collating and evaluating supplier quality data to support PQA Engineering
- Reporting supplied part status into project meetings
- The escalation of issues that impact on program deliverables
- Supporting inspection and test status requirements defined by regulations, engineering product specifications and product approval
- Storage and maintenance of supplier mater samples
In addition Plant Quality activities will include:
- Supporting internal builds
- The promotion of right firsttime methodologies
- To collate and analyse line performance data to support PQA Engineering
- Supporting root cause analysis activities to identify internal and supplier technical issues
- The maintenance of process control documentation when changes are need after product or process changes are made or when internal or external nonconformances drive changes
- Creating and maintaining a highly visual communication and feedback loop
- Quality Alert system to ensure high levels of communication and awareness are achieved
- Responding to and work cross functionally to resolve reported customer technical issues early life failures and warranty to positively impact performance trends and prevent repeat issues
A good understanding of Lean 6 sigma methodologies would be advantageous for this Quality Technician role, as would a solid knowledge of 8D's, Process Flows and Control Plan Process FMEA's.
