Description

The role is to carry out structural studies into integral proteins important for human biology, primarily using cryo-electron microscopy with the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN) team, reporting to Yin Dong, University Lecturer.


Some of your duties will include carrying out administrative work that is necessary for the advancement of the project, record and store all experimental data and record all experimental details in paper and electronic lab notebooks.

As well as attending weekly lab meetings and presenting findings at scientific conferences.


It is essential that you have a PhD/DPhil in structural biology, experience using viral protein expression methods and experience with cell culture, including mammalian cells in suspension.

It is desirable that you have experience working with heteromultimeric protein complexes and experience in electrophysiology.
