About The Role


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Community Safety Team as one of two Safer Communities Workers.

In this new role, you'll be primarily managing a caseload of complex community safety, anti-social behaviour and hate crime cases involving substance misuse, mental health and cuckooing cases.


You will also establish positive, proactive and innovative working relationships with services to provide training and advise on the safeguarding of clients.


About The Team You'll Be Working In


The Community Safety Team is responsible for providing life-saving frontline services, co-ordinating work across different disciplines, strengthening partnership collaboration with a range of agencies, implementing innovative projects and ensuring the Council fulfils its statutory duties to make Hounslow safer for everyone.


  • You will receive the full support from your manager, the Safer Communities Operational Team Lead and have access to a variety of development and training opportunities.

About You


If you are passionate about keeping residents and communities safe and want to work in a new multi-disciplinary team, then this could be the opportunity for you.


You will be:

  • Skilled in providing effective crisis intervention and carrying out risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Driven to work in a partnership approach, advocating the needs of residents by negotiating positive outcomes.
  • Able to remain calm and resilient whilst managing a busy caseload.
  • Confident in using legislation to tackle complex community safety, antisocial behaviour and hate crime cases including safeguarding.
  • You are passionate about working with residents who are affected by community safety issues.
  • You are empathetic, a good listener and can confidently advocate the needs of residents.
  • You want to work in a busy multidisciplinary team and with other partners.
  • You know how to effectively engage with residents with complex needs.

Essential for the Role
Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
