Role Summary:


The Community Engagement Co-Ordinator will be responsible for assisting with the oversight, coordination and delivery of the Trust's Community programmes which are primarily delivered in Lewisham and Southwark.


The Community Engagement Co-Ordinator will work closely with the Community Manager, as well as a range of funding and operational partners to further develop our community programmes, to monitor and evaluate the impact and outcomes achieved.

The role involves managing and supervising sessional staff and volunteers to ensure that the services offered are of the highest quality and provide opportunities which inspire, engage, motivate, and empower the local community.


The Community Engagement Co-Ordinator role is centred around logístical set up of Millwall Community Trust's community-based hub and satellite sessions, updating participation records and submitting records via funders monitoring and evaluation systems, coaching delivery and engaging participants in community plus activities which include but not limited to workshops, social action projects, tournaments and mentoring are also part of the role.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver a highquality experience to all participants across the community delivery timetable whilst achieving targets as set out by funders which include but are not limited to Premier League Charitable Fund, EFL Trust, Southwark and Lewisham Council amongst others.
  • Deliver social inclusion activities and other related initiatives (e.g. youth club, workshops, competitions, player visits, etc.) across a range of venues, in line with the delivery plan and seek to achieve the agreed target and impact outcomes.
  • Liaise with Millwall Community Trust's sessional coaches and assign them to communitybased sessions whist being responsible for supervising staff at session's ensuring a high quality of delivery across all community programs.
  • Directly delivering sportsbased sessions across Millwall Community Trust's communitybased programs, which include hub and satellite sessions in and around the boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham.
  • Logging participant engagement from community sessions on to MCT's monitoring and evaluation systems whilst completing a range of other administrative duties as required.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with a range of key stakeholders/partners.
  • Promote MCT community programmes to schools, Local community groups, key stakeholders, and other relevant parties to gain the maximum attendance on each programme. Ensure the MCT web site pages are up to date with information/stories and use local social media channels to aid the promotion.
  • Quality assure the provision/services delivered via effective monitoring (participant feedback, coaches tick sheets etc.)
  • Provide quarterly reports to senior staff, funders, steering groups on progress made against targets set in the Community development plans. Provide reports, statistics, and case studies for the Community Manager.
  • Work with the MCT's Communications Officer and Graphic Designer in order to produce high quality marketing materials which raise the profile of all community programs.
  • Work closely with staff to capture the social impact/value of our work through various forms of media, reports, case studies and testimonies.

  • To undertake any other duties which might reasonably be deemed within the status of the job and appropriate to the post.

Essential Requirements:


Qualifications

  • Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
  • Level 2 in youth work principles (willingness to work towards)
  • Safeguarding Children & First Aid certificates
