Job Introduction
Management of all fleet, plant and equipment for the contract.

Accurate scheduling and dispatching of plant and equipment using E dispatch system to ensure the safe, efficient and timely support of operational delivery meeting contract commitments whilst ensuring the compliance with all Quality procedures and safe working practices.

Acting within financial authorities, in respect of contract revenue, expenditure and budgets in line with operational forecasts. Driving cost efficiency, asset utilisation with a clear ownership of fleet and equipment assets both owned & hired.

Main Responsibilities
You will be co-ordinating small teams of Maintenance Operatives with respect to work tasks, welfare and safety.

You will maintain a good relationship with clients whilst ensuring that all work is carried out to Company Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards and to regularly communicate with staff and operatives on these matters.

You will carry out Safety Audits as laid down by line management and provide leadership and direction to several gangs across various work activities, e.g.

, small areas of footway & carriageway surfacing, paving works, drainage, signage, gully cleansing and others


QUALIFICATIONS
You will have the appropriate ONC/HNC/HND qualification in Transport / Construction / Civil Engineering; desirable GCSE Maths / English or equivalent - A to C; minimum 5yrs experience in a similar or equivalent role; suitable Logistics / dispatching qualification and training course attendance; full clean driving licence; desirable CPC Operators License holder


EXPERIENCE
You will be able to demonstrate and deploy strong organizational and scheduling competence. You will have knowledge of business management systems, business acumen and excellent communication.
