Job purpose
Provide a 24/7 reception service for residents, while also ensuring the provision of a safe and secure environment at St Anne's and Parkview
Main Duties
1) Provide a welcoming first point of contact for all callers both on the telephone and at the entrance. Make referrals as required to other staff on duty or on -call management.
2) Complete duties as allocated on each shift which include the:
- a) Control of cash, keys, internal radios, other valuables and the collection of rent and service charges.
c) Completion of a range of housekeeping duties
d) Record and Issue post for internal and external residents
e) Supervision of meals provision.
f) Complete security check of St Anne's and Park View premises at a minimum of two hourly intervals
g) Complete other various designated checks including, fire alarms, fire equipment, housekeeping stocks and first aid boxes
h) Complete various admin duties and file maintenance.
i) Signpost residents to other agencies appropriate to their needs
3) Maximize room occupancy at the Hostel by organizing the clearance and preparation for re-letting, of vacated rooms by two members of staff, to include the recording and verification of all cash, valuables and left luggage.
Main responsibilities, To assist in the maintenance of a safe, secure and hygienic environment for our residents and colleagues while maximizing occupancy, and any duties commensurate with the post of Lead Concierge
Communication:
- Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to their Keyworker, deputy manager or another member of the management team and ensure all concerns are recorded in personnel file.
- Participate in staff meetings, as and when required.
Health and Safety
- To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of anybody else who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
- Promote safe working practice in the Hostel and other sites.
General Duties
- Take responsibility for the safeguarding of adults/children and to follow St Anne's safeguarding policies.
- To participate in staff training as and when required.
- To participate in staff supervision and appraisals.
- Take responsibility for personal development by keeping abreast of developments in the field of housing, its barriers and the issues faced by our residents.
- To abide by St Anne's policies and procedures.
Terms & Conditions:
Contract:
Permanent
Annual leave: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays and 4 concessionary days (pro rata for part-time working)
Pension entitlement:
Access to contributory pension scheme
Period of Notice offered and required: 1 month after probationary period
Conditions of Appointment:
Two satisfactory references including an enhanced DBS check.

£15,340.00-£16,432.00 per year
