Description
You will be part of a team of engineers to who develop best-in class Interiors for their future customers.You will be involved with cross-functional teams in the development of new full model Interiors from early Concept phase to Production, as well aswork on current Life Cycle projects.
Job Duration - 12 months rolling39 core working hours
Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-1.20pm
Hybrid working typically 3 days/week on site in Cranfield
Pay Rate:
£25.96/hour PAYE plus £3.89/hr holiday and £0.78 pension accrual (Salary equivalent £52,647)
Deliverables and KPIs
- Delivery of new and current projects to the key milestone reporting, on time and on budget.
- Delivery of FY cost reduction target according to projects and securing timing requirements.
- Delivery of Quality concern resolution based on market concerns arising in a timely manner as assigned.
- Parts development and system performance planning knowledge of Climate Systems (HVAC) covering HVAC unit, ducting, compressor, IHX, heat pump and control unit on all NTCE models
- Project manage a variety of vehicle projects for both lifecycle and new model development timing, incorporating the key safetyrelated milestones.
- Cost and budget management for current and new models, with ability to benchmark and compare those models to investigate cost reduction opportunities.
- Define new Concepts for current and new models based on Regulation and project requirements.
- Validation of system and component performance from test and highlight concern areas with potential solutions.
- Production preparation and delivery to key milestones, including supplier process audit and manufacturing plant support.
- Quality achievement for vehicle targets.
- Valid driving licence and able to travel globally
- Automotive experience, ideally with OEM or Tier 1 supplier and has covered at least one project from conception to completion on design side.
- Climate System or similar mechatronics system design experience
- Degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a global, crossfunctional, crosscultural environment
- Excellent problemsolving skills with knowledge of Design Review, FTA and FMEA methods
- Organised and selfmotivated to learn and constantly improve.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Proven knowledge of automotive design and process experience.
- Fluent oral and written English language skills.
