Supply Chain Buyer

£25 - £30 per hour

We are looking to recruit an additional Buyer to join our Supply Chain Management Procurement team.

Reporting to the Direct Procurement Manager the successful applicant will work full time on supporting the Marine Turbine Business with core procurement activities to ensure they are executed in line with Customer standards.

Profile

Experience and understanding of core procurement activities, ideally in a technical or project based environment
A strong blend of commercial and technical acumen
Knowledge and experience of working to stringent technical quality standards
A strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability
Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders working to challenging deadlines
Able to communicate clearly with people at all levels, both internal and external to Siemens Energy.
Selfmotivated, flexible and can work under pressure on their own initiative

Key Responsibilities:

Experience working onMOD/BAE/Rolls Royce contracts would be beneficial.
Supplier sourcing, qualification and performance management
Procurement of key materials, products and services
Day to day management and execution of open purchase orders including expediting of hardware & software deliverables with a particular focus on quality documentation
Work closely with our bid team to support project acquisition
Comply with Procurement policies and Strategic Procurement initiatives, inline with business requirements and strategies.
