Project Management Apprentice

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

37 hours per week

Point 1 - £9,286.22 a year - initial salary for all new starters for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship

Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows:

Point 2 - £13,186.05 a year - completed 12 months and aged

Point 3 - £17,722.97 a year - completed 12 months and aged **
Point 4 - £18,340.77 a year - completed 12 months and aged 23+


This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in project management and environmental issues to join the Climate Change Team, to get involved in various initiatives.

Working alongside colleagues the post holder will have the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge, and experience of South Warwickshire's Climate Change mitigation.


The post holder will have the opportunity to work closely with the Council's Sustainable Transport Project Officer and Better Points Programme Manager to identify and help manage the delivery of the Council's "Choose How You Move" sustainable travel initiative which encourages walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing across Warwick District.

They will be meeting and engaging with local retailers/businesses to promote the "Choose How You Move" initiative and encourage them to be involved.

This post offers an excellent opportunity to study for a Level 4 Project Management Qualification.


To be eligible:

  • You must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to the apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship or other qualification at the same time.
  • You must not already have a substantial amount of the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
  • You must not have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
  • You must have obtained 5 GCSEs, grades Level 4/C or above including Maths and English, plus 2 A levels /BTEC or equivalent qualification.

You may not be eligible if:

  • You already have all the skills and knowledge that is covered in the content of the apprenticeship standard.
  • You have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
  • You have a degree (or equivalent) in Project Management
