Construction Estimator

Duties:

Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids
Create detailed project budgets and cost breakdowns
Track and monitor project costs throughout the construction process
Provide support to project teams by assisting with value engineering and costsaving initiatives
Prepare and submit change orders as necessary
Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference

Skills:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient in reading construction plans and specifications
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in using construction estimating software
