The Reporting Specialist will support in a broad range of activities aimed to ensure First Line risks are managed and reported effectively.

Reporting to the Standards and Compliance Manager, the Reporting Specialist sets the standards for risk managementreporting, driving consistency and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to Risk Boards, aligned to the Risk Management Framework.

The role monitors the regulatory horizon and co-ordinates responses for regulatory information requests, the completion of regulatoryreturns and manages the preparation for FCA meetings.


We're looking for and ambitious, self motivated, enthusiastic individuals, who are ready to kick start their career in risk management or those who already enjoy risk management and are looking for a newand interesting opportunity.


Day to day you'll be:


  • Coordinating completion of regulatory returns, regulatory information requests & preparation for FCA regulatory meetings
  • Horizon scanning for upstream regulatory change and supporting / challenging business impact assessments and business plans to address any adherence gaps
  • Supporting delivery of robust compliance frameworks to provide evidencebased assurance of compliance with Senior Manager Regime standards, policy standards, governance standards and regulatory standards
  • Supporting delivery of accurate and timely escalated risk reporting to the Commercial Leadership Team and corporate risk committees in line with the Group Risk management Framework
  • Supporting review and development of internal standards to ensure fit for purpose, enabling delivery of the Commercial strategy within a safe and discipled framework
  • Ensuring Commercial's minimum control standards are designed in such a way as to mitigate against the risk of customer harm
  • Build trusted relationships across key stakeholder groups including Senior Managers across Commercial,Risk, Internal Audit, Finance and Regulatory Compliance.

To be successful you'll need to bring:

  • Experience of working within a risk and control environment and a strong understanding of the Group Principal Risks
  • Experience of identifying and resolving issues, mitigating risk and managing dependencies
  • A focus on detail along with the ability to present your findings to a senior audience in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent time management skills you'll be juggling priorities and facing time challenges daily
  • Strong understanding of the Key Risks and critical processes within Commercial
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex information. You'll need to balance and consider business, conduct and regulatory outcomes
  • Resilience and confidence when operating in an environment where change is the norm
  • The ability to build effective relationships and the confidence to adapt these skills to communicate with a variety stakeholders across the Group
  • High level of skill and experience using all Microsoft Office tools

The icing on the cake would be:

  • University degree holder or relevant risk management qualifications
