Our people are at the heart of our organisation which means every single employee at Transport for London plays a crucial role in moving London forward safely, inclusively, and sustainably.

As a Recruitment Apprentice at TfL, you'll learn all about our recruitment functions and how we are striving to be an 'employer of choice.' You will learn all about the end-to-end recruitment life cycle from workforce planning to job adverts and sourcing to onboarding every hire we make whether that be a high volume campaign or niche Fire Engineer.

Join us in hiring the best talent the market and our organisation has to offer and ensuring our workforce is as diverse and inclusive as the city and customers we serve.

What will I be doing?
As an apprentice, your 18-month development programme will be made up of two placement rotations.

Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience that will give you a solid foundation for a successful career.

We also understand that everyone's career is different, so every apprentice's journey is unique.

Here's an idea of what yours could look like:

Recruitment Team

Placement 2

After completing Placement 1 and 2, there will potentially be an opportunity for a number of apprentices to shadow the Executive Recruitment team.

This team creates a 'uniquely TfL' recruitment and on-boarding experience for senior level talent, which is extremely high touch and helps to position TfL as an employer of choice and the 'best place to work'.

You will shadow the Senior Executive Recruitment Consultants to build your confidence working with senior internal and external stakeholders and how you would adapt your communication style and ways of working when partnering with senior leaders.

You will get an insight into different research methods used to find and attract Executive level diverse talent, the importance of having a very high attention to detail as well as understand the difference in the planning and execution of these senior recruitment campaigns.

TfL is striving to create a culture of diverse inclusive leaders and a workforce that represents the city of London, and the recruitment teams are key in delivering this.
