Warehouse Operative Job Specification


The main role of a Warehouse Operator is picking and packing orders, moving boxes, re labelling products, keeping paperwork up to date and any other task set out by the Warehouse Manager.

As a Warehouse Operative with Oxford Diecast, you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work in a timely manner and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

You will be picking and packing products, involving manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting.


Job functions:


  • Assisting with the unloading of containers and the checking in of stock
  • Sorting and placing products in allocated locations
  • Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule
  • Performing warehouse inventory controls
  • Stock counting and location checks
  • Checking for damaged or missing items, moving stock around by hand
  • Picking and packing orders whilst keeping the paperwork up to date
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00

Friday 07:00 - 12:00

Upon sucessful completion of a 6 month Probation Period, the annual wage will increase at the Managers descretion.

Your holiday allowance for the initial period is 21 days + statutory holidays. Holidays run from January to January.

Breaktime :
Mon - Thurs - 45mins and Friday 15mins.

Breaks are unpaid.

Four days holidays must be used over the Christmas period when the warehouse is closed.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.75 per week
