Our client is a market leader within the automotive and high performance engineering space, supplying a number of top flight motorsport teams and vehicle OEMs.
They are looking for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join their growing team to supportin designing test facilities and system integration.
The main role will be the production of 3D models, 2D P&IDs and annotated drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
Roles and Responsibilities- Produce accurate and detailed facility designs, drawings and engineering calculations.
- Writing detailed supplier and contractor specifications and test criteria documents.
- Develop and maintain a level of expertise in products and services, full training will be provided.
- Conduct detailed site surveys at customer's facilities with the aim of producing 3D and 2D layout representations of building services and facilities.
- Assist other business functions in a technical capacity, when required.
- Provide support and guidance during the installation and commissioning phase of a project.
- Travel will be required to client and customer sites (mainly United Kingdom but occasional European travel may be required).
- Degree in Building Services (preferred).
- HNC / HND in Building Services if able to demonstrate 10+ years of building services design engineering.
- 3D Modelling and 2D Annotation (REVIT and/or SolidWorks).
- Working Knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work 2020 Guidelines.
- M&E Building Design Experience.
- Thermodynamic Calculations Experience.
- Fluid Dynamics Calculations.
- Experience of Collaborative Engineering.
- Good Knowledge of Architect and Building Terminology.
- Cooling Systems (Plant, Chilled, Deep Chilled).
- HVAC Systems.
- Psychometrics and Calculation Experience.
- Ductwork and Pipework Parts, Layouts and Schematics.
- Right first time attitude.
- Logical approach to problem solving.
- Good communication skills to discuss engineering problems and solutions with stakeholders including customer.
- Full UK Driving License
- Salary: Competitive
