Here at The Isle of Wight College we work with a number of employers, in a vast array of industries. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as a Customer Service Apprentice at Raven Print & Design.


Based in Cowes, Raven Print & Design provide a wide range of services printing all types of stationary from business cards to brochures, books to hospitality menus.

With more than 25 years of professional experience within the print and design sector with excellent customer reviews, Raven Print offer high quality printing to meet their customer needs


Tasks and responsibilities will include:


  • Dealing with customers over the phone and face to face.
  • Answering customer queries and requests.
  • Supporting with social media accounts to include Facebook and Twitter.
  • Computer literate with some knowledge of Adobe/illustrator/photoshop being preferable although not essential as training would be provided.
  • Supporting to manage systems and processes.

Person specification:


  • Reliable.
  • Eager to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Qualifications Required:

GCSE grade C/4 or above in English & Maths (or equivalent qualification and/or ability to work towards these Functional Skills)


Apprenticeship Standard:


  • Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English if required and not previously achieved GCSE grade 4 or above.
  • There is a requirement to complete off the job training of 6 hours per week, College attendance will contribute but time spent either learning something new, other courses or any support work that is not in your usual role will also be counted.
  • Attendance at College as required.

Working Week:


  • 40 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • 9am to 5pm.

Wage:

£6.00 per hour
