About the Role:

We are looking for a conscientious and enthusiastic person to join our friendly and supportive team at Belmont Vets as a part time receptionist.

Our team consists of 7 vets, 10 nurses, 1 SVN and 6 support staff.

You will be working with a team of 5 other receptionists to provide outstanding customer service and a high standard of administrative support to the wider team.

Our Receptionists are the first point of contact when a client calls or arrives at the practice so we are looking for someone will excellent communication skills and a professional and friendly manner.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Telephone answering in a polite, efficient and professional manner. Redirecting appropriately if you are unable to answer client queries.
• Registering clients, making appointments, processing clients on arrival and updating records and clinical data whilst maintaining confidentiality.
• Advise clients on any preventative health care queries such as flea and worming treatments, neutering, vaccinations, pet travel.
• Taking payments & adhering to the practice payment protocol.
• Ensuring the reception area is clean and tidy.
• Processing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
• Diary management ensuring appointments are booked with the appropriate person for the right amount of time.
