Self Drive is a reputable family-owned vehicle rental company established in 1992 in the Aldergrove area in Crumlin, Antrim.

We specialise in providing a wide range of high-quality cars, hatchbacks/estates, and auto/manual for rental, along with a variety of vans for corporate rentals across Ireland.

Our team takes pride in offering excellent service to businesses, corporate customers and private hirers.


THE ROLE


As a Driver/Detailer at Self Drive, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operations of your branch.

This position combines driving responsibilities with vehicle preparation tasks, ensuring that our rental vehicles are well-maintained and ready for customer use.

Whether delivering vehicles to other branches or directly to customers, your attention to detail and commitment to customer service will be paramount.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, although are not limited to the following:

  • Drive, deliver, and/or collect vehicles to/from branches or customers as directed.
  • Clean and prepare a variety of vehicles according to Self Drive standards.
  • Conduct endofhire vehicle checks for damage and report findings.
  • Complete drivers' logs and sign in/out of branches.
  • Perform Pre-Rental and Post-Rental Vehicle Inspections, reporting faults, damage, and unroadworthiness.
  • Park vehicles in designated areas based on their status.
  • Assist customers by showcasing vehicles, explaining controls, discussing equipment, and fuel specifics.
  • Be flexible to meet the shift work nature of the job.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


We are looking for customer service focused individuals who hold a full UK driving license and are confident driving a variety of our vehicles.

Good communication skills with customers are required.


REPORTING, LOCATION & TRAVEL
A full clean UK Driver's License is _
essential_ for this role.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
