Westfield Shopping Centre, W12 7GF

As a General Maintenance Operative, you will be expected to support the maintenance operation in place at Westfield Shopping Centre.

This support is coordinated through the Night Shift Team Leader who will guide and direct the daily duties of work.

Working a rotating 4 on 4 off rota, the key focus of this role is to undertake and maintain all the shopping centre's facilities to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities_**_

General basic maintenance
Store reorganisation
Painting
Changing light fittings
Carrying out routine audit checks within toilet areas
Erection and dismantling of mall kiosks
Erection and removal of mall security barriers/fencing on malls each night as directed by the client
Assisting maintenance team as required
Repairing and maintaining hot and coldwater services including replacement of sanitary ware and clearing of drains
Ensuring all contractors are working within Westfield guidelines when working in the centre
Responding to site emergencies as requested by the management

Professional and personal competencies/qualifications_**_

Proven ability and experience in a similar role.
Proven technical ability with extensive experience in a related building trade.
The ability to work at heights and have or willing to take IPAF/MEWPs certificate.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Possess a working knowledge of relevant building and health and safety Legislation.
NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications would be preferable but not mandatory.
