What you'll be doing:

Based at Mill Hill Parish, this Parish Bookkeeper post is a pivotal one within the parish.

In this role, you will work closely alongside the Parish Priest and other staff members, undertaking accounting and bookkeeping duties and having overall responsibility for the management of the Parish accounts.

You will be responsible for duties such as entering all income and expenditure on the Diocesan computer database (OPAS), reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis, and liaising with the Vincentian Order to ensure that all expenditure incurred on behalf of the Vincentians is reimbursed and vice versa.

Additionally, you will have responsibilities around planned giving.

You will be responsible for maintaining a register of all Parishioners involved in planned giving, liaise with the Parish Gift Aid Coordinator to maintain the system on OPAS and checking online donation websites monthly, and to produce the year end 'Turnaround' report for the Diocese.

This means there's lots to get involved in - and to be excited about.
