Hours :
Tuesday & Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm (16 hours per week)


Pay :
£10.90 ph


Job Role :

Aylsham Care Trust have a part time cook role available in our Orange Blossom Café.Working alongside kitchen team members, supporting the Chef, Head of Food Services, and volunteers in the preparation, and cooking hot and cold nutritious meals for our Orange Blossom Café, Meal Delivery Service and for our Day Service Hub.

Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of the role are:

• Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
• Preparation of both hot and cold foods for the Café, Meal Delivery and Day Service, producing consistently good quality food
• Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters appropriately
• Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed
• Unloading fresh supplies and helping to organise the stockroom
• Checking sellby dates and rotating food stock
• Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans
• Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
• Supporting the Chef / Head of Food Services and other team members in the kitchen
• Ensuring a good quality food service
• Works quickly and accurately during busy periods
• Occasionally takes on additional duties for our Events
• Understands, and ensures, good practice working to uptodate rules and regulations.

Experience:
Familiarity with the setup of a commercial kitchen is required. Excellent food preparation skills. An understanding of the rules and regulations about food preparation would be an advantage.
