About the role:


The Children's Commissioning Team and Adult's Commissioning Team commissions projects and services with a range of partners and providers (including defined statutory partners as well as private and third sector organisations) for children and young people aged or Adults in Powys.

As Commissioning Project Coordinator, you will work within the Children's Services Commissioning Team or Adult Services Commissioning Team to advise and support the Strategic Commissioning Manager throughout the whole commissioning cycle to ensure that commissioning programmes and projects are delivered effectively and efficiently


This will include:

  • Conducting needs & resources assessments / situation & response assessments and market analyses for project areas
  • Stakeholder engagement and participation (including service users)
  • Supporting commissioning projects / management processes including service design and project delivery
  • Supporting and facilitating tendering and procurement activity
  • Monitoring project performance and progress.
  • Ongoing review and project evaluation

About you:

We are looking for an individual who is keen to develop their project management skills in this co-ordinator role.

The successful applicant will have good organisational skills and have an interest in commissioning in the field of health and social care.


What you will do:


  • To provide project support to the Adult Services Strategic Commissioning Manager
  • To facilitate and support project consultation processes.
  • To gather, collate and analyse both quantitative and qualitative project data.
  • To liaise with internal & external colleagues to support commissioning projects.
  • To undertake research and benchmarking activity on a task and finish basis.
