We are one of the largest NHS trusts in the country and manage five hospitals based in North West London - St Mary's, Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea and the Western Eye.

We are looking for a front of house receptionist, who reports to the front of house team leader.

The role is responsible for greeting and assisting patients, visitors, staff and external organisations, providing extra help and support where needed.

You will have a warm and helpful manner and be kind, friendly and approachable.


You will have experience in customer care and will be confident to challenge negative behaviour, with the support of our security staff.

You will be comfortable working with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and different levels of seniority, and patients and visitors from across the community.


You will be able to provide advice and guidance to patients and visitors or wherever possible, try to find the answer to their questions.


The post-holder will provide a full receptionist service, be first point of contact for patients and visitors attending the hospital in accordance with the best principles of customer care, and support the Security, Health and safety functions.

As part of our front of house team they will also be responsible for guardianship of public areas and support Trust projects and initiatives.
