Respond Recruitment are seeking a school caretaker/site supervisor for a high school in Burton on Trent.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs to ensure that school buildings and facilities are in good working order.
Cleaning: Undertake cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school premises.
Security and Safety: Monitor security systems, lock and unlock doors, and conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and security of the school buildings and grounds.
Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor areas including playgrounds, sports fields, and landscaping to ensure they are safe, tidy, and wellpresented.
Health and

Safety Compliance:

Implement health and safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly to relevant authorities.

Assistance with Events: Provide support for school events, such as setting up and dismantling equipment, arranging furniture, and ensuring facilities are prepared for activities.
Communication: Liaise with school staff, contractors, and external agencies to coordinate maintenance works, report issues, and ensure effective communication regarding facilities management.
