The Holiday Inn Brentford Lock nestled overlooking the scenic waterways of the Grand Union Canal.

This four-star hotel is located in west London and has been created for comfort and style and offers a warm and welcoming service to all guests.

The hotel has 6 modern meeting rooms and 134 en-suite bedrooms; it is the first in Europe to have a revolutionary open lobby concept.

With good transports link, the hotel can be easily accessed by public transport. Brentford train station is about 10 minutes' walk to the hotel.


The key purpose of your role is to maximise revenue opportunities in the rooms department by mkaing room reservations and increasing enquiry conversion.

The role will also require you to execute the commercial aspects of group contracts such as cancellations terms and deposit schedules.

To ensure that reservations are dealt with in an efficient and pleasant manner.
Maintain relationships with Tours and groups companies.

To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximize hotel sales.

To be fully conversant with Opera PMS and IHG G&M.
To input reservations in the system on a daily basis to keep a system up-to-date without any backlog.
Check, daily, all OTA sights for new reservations and that connectivity remains.
Communciate daily with the cluste revenue manager.
To communicate with reception at all times and assist where necessary.
Communicate clearly to all departments incoming group requirements.
To check all correspondence in connection with reservations and deal with accordingly.
To be fully aware of all types of bedrooms, all their facilities and locations.
To be able to offer an alternative (i.e. date, type of room) if we cannot provide what our caller requires.
To ensure that restricted dates, offer rates and promotions are updated and monitored on a daily basis.
To run the arrival check and ensure all traces and comments are up-to-date
Validate all reservations to secure the transient revenue.
To ensure that the hotel credit policy is adhered to.
To advise housekeeping of any special requirements requested, i.e. late booking, cots and VIP's.
To develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments in the hotel.
To attend all relevant training as and when required.
To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.
To ensure that the company dress code is always adhered to.
Be open to learning about Meeting and event sales and be part of a "one team" approach.
Be willing to support reception team (during working hours).

To undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but with in the overall scope of the position at the request of your Line Manager.
