Apprenticeship programme

During this Level 3 Laboratory Assistant programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career.

Throughout the 2- month programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus.

Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it.

As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you'll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a Certificate in Science.

What will you be doing?

Analysing plant samples
Supporting the Laboratory Manager and Senior Chemist with maintenance works on laboratory equipment, relevant paperwork/computerised records and general tidying
Bulk delivery assessments on vehicles and record their details on the provided computerised system(s)
Support Site Management to ensure site personnel, contractors and visitors comply with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and Company Standards
Assist Site Management in actively promoting environmental awareness to Employees, Contractors and Visitors

What are we looking for?

A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths & English
Interest in Health, Safety & the Environment
A willingness to learn
Someone who can follow and adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures
