**Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week

This project is closely linked to exciting new Scottish legislation, the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act, and aims to support its ongoing implementation.

Led by University of Edinburgh Business School, our transdisciplinary team brings together academic, governmental, public sector and 3 rd sector partners with expertise in nutrition and public health, environmental modelling, public food procurement, food policy and governance, anthropology, and sociology, of food, food and procurement law, social policy, behavioural change, and food systems transformation.


This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week) however, we are open to considering part-time (4-5 days) and/or flexible working patterns.

We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working with a minimum requirement for 2 days/week on campus working.


The Opportunity:


Working closely with Professor Jaccks and Dr Alexander (Unit Leads - Analytical Unit), the Partner and Stakeholder Relationship Fellow will provide dedicated partner and stakeholder relationship management support to the Analytical Unit, building and nurturing effective relationships with relevant authorities in Scotland (32 local authorities and 14 health boards) and undertaking academic work on collaboration theory and practice within public sector institutions.

**Your skills and attributes for success: - Good undergraduate or postgraduate degree in relevant social science or analogous area

  • Experience of working with, and managing, diverse stakeholder groups including Agriculture, Food and/or Drink stakeholders in Scotland.
  • Experience of working with relevant authorities (local authorities and/or health boards) in Scotland.
  • Experience of writing for and about, and talking to, policy, stakeholder, academic, and public audiences, evidenced by policy and stakeholder briefings/reports, conference presentations, press releases, blogs, media articles, podcasts and/or peer review publications. Experience of working effectively with a variety of internal and external staff and stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
