Summary of Role

This is an exciting time to join a newly formed fundraising team in our Development Office.

We are looking for an experienced Individual Giving professional with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Fundraising and Individual Giving team.

With the team, you will play a key part in increasing our income from individual supporters by developing and delivering a range of imaginative cross-channel campaigns, appeals, innovative products and marketing activities - with a particular focus on digital fundraising and recruiting new regular givers.

Key Requirements

You will have a track record of working on successful fundraising campaigns, ideally within the not-for-profit sector, with experience in writing compelling fundraising copy and a good understanding of digital fundraising techniques.

You will have outstanding written and oral communication skills and be able to engage with our science to communicate it effectively in lay terms.

You will be able to build strong relationships, both internally and externally, and have excellent attention to detail.

You will have demonstrated creativity in your work, with an ability to work with teams and agencies to develop and test new fundraising ideas.

You are skilled in managing creative production processes.

This will be a busy role so you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and to manage multiple priorities.

We are looking for someone with a genuine curiosity about the importance of our scientific research and a desire to make an impact.

First stage interviews will be virtual via MS Teams. Second stage interviews will be in-person in December.
