Our client seeks a senior management accountant/manager to join their outsourcing business team

Hybrid working with a minimum of two days in the office

The team is experienced in working with start-ups, as well as more mature businesses undergoing a change-management programme.


You will take the time to understand the needs of each business, and tailor services to meet the clients specific needs.

Cloud-based accounting is at the heart of our solution and means you can check progress online at any time.


Our client are a Platinum Partner with Xero, a Certified ProAdvisor with Quickbooks, and at the forefront of many cloud-based products, including being a preferred supplier for Receipt Bank.


Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties of this role are varied and will include the following:


  • Client Management:
- managing a portfolio of clients

  • Management Accounts:
- responsible for monthly management accounts for various clients, and preparing pre-payments and accruals; preparing month-end management packs and identifying variances with explanations or commentaries

  • Sales Processes:
- understanding sales workflows and being familiar with industry specific KPIs.

  • Purchase and Stock Processes (where needed):
  • managing purchase invoices into the accounting system, as well as being familiar with the purchase process and stock systems
  • Cash & Bank:
- posting all bank payments and receipts, and reconciling bank and cash systems.

  • Balance Sheet:
- being responsible for maintaining and reconciling certain balance sheet items for clients; being responsible for inter-company transactions and balances; completing bank reconciliations; maintaining the fixed asset register

  • VAT/Employee Tax:
- preparing and submitting VAT returns; liaising with advisors in processing payroll and managing the payroll process

  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Working, guiding and liaising with our overseas accounts team
  • Other ad hoc duties as designated by managers in line with the role

The individual should have experience in dealing with owner managed/growing businesses and be able to advise clients on best practice and systems.
