South Coast Home Care are an independent care provider based in Chichester and Littlehampton supporting people in their own homes.

We cover Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton & Worthing along with the villages in-between. We are looking to recruit an on-call support advisor, working from home managing our 'out of hours' service.


The main focus of this role is to be alert and vigilant on our Care Planner operating system for the duration of the shift to ensure than emergencies, alerts, sickness or lateness are managed and dealt with in an appropriate time frame, minimising additional stress or concern to our customers and staff.

Shifts currently available will be every other weekend - FULL DAYS

6.30am pm


There may be a requirement to physically attend customer properties in the event of emergency situations so a driving licence, DBS and high experience/knowledge of the care industry are essential, as is a history of rota management/ co-ordination.


The role includes:


  • Respond to emergencies (may result in visits)
  • Answer the oncall phone (phone provided)
  • Logging sickness appropriately (may result in visits)
  • Monitor the system for alerts/concerns
  • Phone customers in response to alerts that arise
  • Check in on carers running late
  • Fulfil an oncall log
  • Complete audits of on call service fortnightly
  • Background in care settings
  • Understanding of emergency Health and Safety procedures
  • History of rota management
  • Experience working with on call service desirable
This is a home-based, remote working position but activity will be monitored, and the successful applicant will receive a work mobile phone and device to work on (e.g. tablet/laptop.) Full training will be given for this role but experience is essential as we are looking for an immediate start.


Rates-
Evenings £25.00

Weekends £50.00

*These rates are paid as a flat rate if no work is required, or an emergency response isn't needed

If required to work weekdays £11.68 per hour

Weekends £12.25 per hour
