Due to an increase in demand for our services we are expanding our Payroll services at our Head Office in Crawley.

The Payroll Administrator will assist the Managing Director and Senior Management Team to deliver the Company weekly and monthly payrolls ensuring a quality and compliant service for all FirstCol Staff.
Qualification requirements:
- Educated to at least A-Level
- Degree Preferable
- Payroll or CIPD qualification a distinct advantage
Experience required:
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role a distinct advantage
The main Responsibilities for the Role are:
Preparation of Payroll:
- Approve staff rota
- Review and investigate unapproved staff rota
- Add and remove care calls from staff rota investigate any anomalies
- Collate timesheets from Agency Workers
- Add and remove shifts onto inhouse system
- Enter timesheet data into payroll system
Adjustments and Calculations:
- Calculate any manual payments or adjustments
- Reconcile payroll reports with timesheets and rota
- Split complex Payrolls
- Review and Action all leavers forms
- Action Sick leave and SSP forms ensuring a complete audit trail
- Action expense claim forms
- Calculate A/L entitlement for staff members when requested
- Action Maternity Leave requests and pay
Payroll and HMRC Actions and Queries:
- Use IR35 guidelines in determining payroll status for staff if appropriate
- Action HMRC communications and enter any paperwork from them into payroll system
- Action attachment of earnings letters from HMRC and Local councils
- Add student loan deduction forms from HMRC
- Create XML files for payroll file submission with HMRC
- Action P45 and P60 requests
Pensions:
- Add eligible staff member into pension System
- Enter Pension information on Pensions portal
- Run weekly Pensions report
Other Admin and Finance Duties:
- Raise invoices with external payroll providers
- Enter new starter form and leavers form details onto payroll system
- Enter staff banking details
- Upload Payroll files to payroll system
- Run Payroll steps
- Create BACS payments files
- Action salary information references
- Generating and sending Payslips
- Deal with pay query through telephone
- Follow KPI'S on payroll deadlines
- Ad-Hoc Administration and Finance related tasks at the request of the Managing Director or Senior Management Team.
Salary:
£23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Crawley, RH11 7XL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
