The role
As a Response Driver Trainer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. An active and effective member of the Transport Training Team, working across the capital, you'll be responsible for delivering Emergency Response (Blue Light) Training to London Fire Brigade personnel


Day to day, you'll deliver and accurately evidence Emergency Response Training to London Fire Brigade personnel ensuring compliance with current legislation and National Guidelines.

You'll have a willingness to study towards relevant teaching qualifications (if not already attained).

  • 80% of annual hours will be spent delivering theoretical and practical training to small and large groups of learners
  • Assess learners, record results, provide feedback and guidance on performance, developing action plans as required
  • Ensure that training is delivered in a safe and professional manner in accordance with relevant course materials and risk assessments. Minimise risk by taking responsibility to ensure hazards are removed safely and/or reported according to established procedure
  • Ensure that all Babcock's health and safety, equality and diversity, welfare and safeguarding policies are followed at all times within own area of responsibility
This post is full-time and can be based out of our Beckton, Croydon or Ruislip sites.


Essential experience of the Response Driver Trainer:

  • Emergency Response Driver from a UK Police, Fire or Ambulance Service background with an ADI qualification or ADI with a category C license held for more than 3 years
  • Knowledge of "Roadcraft"
  • Comprehenesive knowledge of the "highway code"

Qualifications for the Response Driver Trainer:

  • DVSA ADI (Grade A or B)
  • DVSA Cat C LGV Licence (advantageous, however if you can demonstrate the required level of experience and a willingness to learn, then we can arrange training on this)
  • Level 3 Adult Education / Teaching qualification or willing to study towards
  • Assessor qualification or willing to study towards
