Description

We are looking for an experienced payroll professional to join this large accounting firm and in Newcastle and play a strategic role in supporting the leadership team with the delivery of their payroll services.


Proven capabilities to create multi-functional streams and mentor high performing teams, and provide outstanding contribution/support to consulting with engagement teams on all compliance and reporting activities is desired.


Your Day to Day:


Ensuring the accuracy of processed payrolls and advising on any technical payroll matters that arise such as termination payments, payrolling of benefits, statutory payments, stock transactions and apprenticeship Levy.

Supporting the team on how technical payroll aspects relate to the payroll software in operations

Developing and advising bespoke financial reports such as general ledger reports

Ensuring full payment submissions and employer payment submission to HMRC, auto enrolment compliance, bacs payments

Following quality and risk requirements for professional service firms

Preparation of payroll proposals from documents to delivery including attendance at oral presentations and client meetings, along with subsequent transition of new payroll clients and project plans

Staff management, staff reviews, department fee and budget targets, work allocation and client/employee queries in relation to payroll


Define standards, processes and controls that ensure operations and client deliverables are accurate, timely and in line with agreed fees.


What we are looking for:


The successful applicant will hold good stakeholder management skills and be able to demonstrate good project and time management skills.

With the ability to take responsibility and a desire to further develop your technical payroll knowledge we are lookingfor a confident individual who us able to oversee the delivery of client engagements.

You will have a minimum of 8 years relevant hands on payroll experience and ideally hold a payroll qualification. Your expertise will include understanding payroll compliance, rules and legislations, ideally in multi-country environments although that isnot essential.
