MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Work within a dynamic and growing team covering institutional clients (Banks/HF/RM/CBs/SWF) with global reach (ex EU).
  • Act as support point of contact with Bank/Intermediary Institutions for all foreign exchange related topics, eventually leading to primary contact with a portfolio of customers to manage.
  • Drawing on internal and external sources to expand, promote and position Bank FX capabilities within the context of the broader client relationship, to maximize crosssell opportunities and ensure optimal delivery of the group's products and services in the market place.
  • Operate in line with regulatory constraints and internal rules, regulations and policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Good team player hungry to learn and build expertise within broad client group, able to support current sales and leverage/build own client base relations.
  • Communicate directly with Bank/Intermediary/HF clients to promote FX and derivatives products in order to achieve quantitative and qualitative targets, both individual and at team level.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and the Bank's relationship management team to maximize crosssell opportunities on all facets of the clients' crossborder exposure
  • Adhere to external regulatory frameworks and internal bank policy in respect to all processes and administration.
  • Generate and distribute market information relevant to our institutional clients' activity and interests
  • Ensure successful collaboration within the Trading and Research obtaining personal and group targets.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred:

  • Experience in FX financial markets
  • Sales experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Experienced in executing broad range of FX cash and derivative products.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders (Trading, Research, Structuring) to build sustainable revenue with an institutional client base.
  • Ability to promote a strong risk and compliance culture within the bank through exhibiting behaviours, competencies and capabilities expected of an FCA approved person
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the FCA Approved Persons regime, Principles and Code of Practice, and of the expectations of an approved person as well as a sound general understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Education / Qualifications:

  • Degree educated in a technical/ numerate field ideally and/or equivalent level of relevant experience.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Current relationships in Bank or HF space preferred.
  • Lateral thinker able to problem solve and optimise processes.

PERFORMANCE AND DUTIES


The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity's performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.

As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder.

The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.


MANAGING CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

  • The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
  • The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour.
  • The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUS.
  • Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
