*Your role with us*Help ensure that environmental issues remain at the heart of major infrastructure development. From flood risk to water quality, remediation of contaminated land to biodiversity, you'll be part of our drive to engage early with development proposals for nationally significant projects. Managing caseloads to strict deadlines and building relationships with external customers, you'll help us achieve integrated solutions that offer the best outcomes for the environment and for people.

*What do I need?


With a good grounding in the UK planning system, you'll know how to bring together information from a range of sources to inform sound decisions.

Project management skills would be useful.


You will need:

  • A good knowledge of the UK planning system and relevant legislation, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, the Town & Country Planning Act and the Development Consent order regime
  • The skills to advise others on development issues or complex environmental problems and to influence good outcomes
  • Strong time management and teamworking skills
