The Role
Reporting to the Lead, Strategic Projects for Talent, the role holder will draw upon their specialist technical and consultative skills and be highly proactive in leading a full range of assessment related solutions, from providing expert advice, to developingand embedding the Bank's global assessment strategy and best practice standards.
There will also be scope to participate in a broad range of talent projects.Whilst a rigorous approach is important, so is practical delivery.
The role requires a pragmatist, who appreciates the art and science of assessment and workplace psychology but also thinks about the needs of the client and maintains a laser focus on the applicabilityof their practice and landing assessment solutions favourably to a range of senior stakeholders.
Your overarching purpose will be to ensure that the Bank is making effective, defensible and applicable assessment related decisions, both now and in the future,in advancement of the broader talent strategy.
On a given day, you may be providing qualified, best practice, expert advice and guidance on assessment solutions and approaches, sharing your skills and equipping internal stakeholders (e.g. colleagues in resourcing, learning, development and talent) to assessparticipants in an effective, fair, consistent and compliant way. You may becommissioning new assessment solutions and working to ensure their practical applicability and benefit, or designing and implementing assessment programmes in relevant business areas and evaluating their success, either independently or in collaboration withthird party vendors.
You may also be called on to support strategic talent projects such as talent development, succession planning, approaches to managing performance and potential, and diversity and inclusion.
- BPS Certificate of Competence in
Occupational Testing:
Ability (also known as Level A) (or equivalent)
- BPS Certificate of Competence in
Occupational Testing:
Personality (also known as Level B intermediate) (or equivalent)
Technical:
- Significant indepth experience gained with at least one global organisation with volume, specialist and executive assessment needs, either inhouse or in consulting
- Significant experience of designing bespoke assessment processes and solutions for a variety of roles and levels, cross functionally
- Significant experience of implementing and managing a range of forwardthinking assessment solutions for a range of roles and levels, including senior executive
- Experience of designing face to face assessments using behavioural frameworks
- Significant experience of communicating assessment related information to both assessment specialist and nonassessment specialist audiences
- Experience of managing thirdparty vendors to deliver largescale assessment projects
- Good technical knowledge of a range of psychometric assessments and methodologies
- Ability to navigate within a large and complex organisation (experience in a regulated environment would be an advantage)
- Willingness to engage in various talent and people related projects; additional experience within talent management / talent consulting or HR would be an advantage
- Competence in job analysis methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Knowledge of theories, methodologies, technologies and systems used to evaluate individual/group's personality, attitudes, behaviors and performance; ability to design and implement measurements, analyze collected data, explain results and provide professionaladvices in an industrialorganizational environment.

- Knowledge of policies, considerations and processes of human resources (HR)planning and development; ability to plan and develop an organization's HR operations in order to increase individual and organizational effectiveness.
Organisation Change Management:
- Knowledge of and ability to align the organization's people and culture with changes in business strategy, organizational structure, technology and business processes.
- Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HRrelated initiatives
